About Us

Renegade Nurses is a conception from 2 “old “ nurses. (Contact info:  tswatts@peoplepc.com)
My name is Teresa Watts. I have 35 years in nursing – I graduated in 1974 from Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa.  I have worked as a paramedic, flight nurse, 20+ years trauma/ER, peds, NICU, Med/Surg, House Supervisor, agency nurse, travel nurse. Large, small – East West Coast hospitals.

Nancy and I decided to get away from bedside nursing each of us having our own reasons, so the name “Renegade Nurses” was chosen – Renegade “ is a person who questions or throws over authority or allegiance”. This fits us both.

Greetings! My name is Nancy Lydia Steurer and I’m soon to be 52. I’ve been a nurse since 1989 and before that I was a CAN for 10+ years. I graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and I didn’t stick around too long. I went through a Critical Care course then traveled, into a few ER’s, traveled, cruise ship nursing then to a Med Surg floor and soon to travel again.! I just get antsy….thus, the Renegade Nurse idea….to band with a friend (Teresa) and do some brainstorming….we created a calendar and the rest is still to come….stand by!
